If for any reason, you are dissatisfied with your Sonitrol service during the first 6 months after installation, Sonitrol will refund any money you have paid for the service and remove our equipment from your premises. This guarantee applies only to Sonitrol audio activated intrusion systems. - SERVICE GUARANTEE
If your system requires emergency service, Sonitrol guarantees the arrival of a service technician, on-site, the same day of your request. - FALSE ALARM PROTECTION GUARANTEE
If you receive a fine for a false alarm that was dispatched in error by Sonitrol and caused solely by Sonitrol's audio detection system and not by your personnel, the telephone company or an Act of God, Sonitrol will pay the fine.

For over 35 years the names Shiver and Sonitrol have been synonymous with innovative technology for high profile integrated security solutions and for its ethical and honest approach for conducting business.
The products include audio intrusion detection systems, access control systems, CCTV systems, fire detection systems, and external industrial monitoring functions. Services include sales/design, installation, local monitoring, and technical service. In 1970 Rex Shiver, father of Raymond A. Shiver, established Sonitrol of Cincinnati as a franchise operation of Sonitrol Corporation. Within six months the franchise was expanded into the Dayton area. In 1991 Rex Shiver retired and sold the franchises to his son Raymond "Chip" Shiver. The company is now known as Shiver Security Systems, Inc., dba Sonitrol of SW Ohio.
Being involved with Sonitrol and the security industry in various capacities since 1971 gives Chip Shiver the experience necessary to continue successfully in the industry. Chip started his career as an installer while going to the University of Cincinnati. By 1972 he moved into the Sales Department and in his first year in sales was recognized as a sales leader by Sonitrol Corporation, winning entry into the 120 Club and finishing second in a national sales contest sponsored by Sonitrol Corporation. In 1983 Chip became General Manager of the combined franchise operations of Dayton and Cincinnati. In 1991 Chip purchase the company from his father Rex. Under the leadership of Chip and the management team Shiver Security/Sonitrol has doubled the size of its customer base and revenue since 1997. The company has been listed in "SDM Magazine" (Security Distributing & Marketing) as "Up and Comers" in the May 1997 issue and ranked among the top 100 companies in 2005 and again in 2006.
Chip Shiver inherited a trait from his father Rex. The trait is pure and simple...conduct business in a fair and equitable manner for customers, employees, and vendors. The first location in Dayton was located at 1430 E. Third St. and became the business headquarters of the Dayton/Cincinnati franchise operations in 1970. The alarm monitoring station was established at the Third Street location. In 1989 the business was moved to larger quarters at 431 Wayne Avenue. In 1995 the opportunity arose to purchase the old WAVIIWDAO building at 1400 Cincinnati Street. The facility was completely renovated and the monitoring station was set up so that it would become a UL approved facility. The current business headquarters is at 1400 Cincinnati Street in Dayton. A sales/service office is located at 6404 Thornberry Court in Mason, Ohio.
